Chapter 3 Graff

Chapter 3  Graff

  1. (19) What does Ender get chosen for in the end? Why does he get picked? he got chosen because of what he did after the monitor was taken off (beaten up another 6 year old) and why he did it
  2. What reservations does Ender have? he doesnt want to go because he doesnt want to leave valentine behind and when he gets back she will be a grown woman and may not love ender like she does now
  3. (22) What does the soldier say about religion and large families? So is this a religious or secular society? Why? Religion helps keep large families alive and allows people to have more kids, thats why they were able to have Ender. In this book they are a secular society because they are only allowed to have 2 kids.
  4. What does ‘Third’ mean? Why is this such a big deal? Ender got the nickname "third" because he is the third child in the family and his parents did not want him
  5. (22) What do we learn about the ‘society’ what countries on earth make it up? ??????
  6. What big decision does Ender have to make? What are the reasons against it/for it? What does he decide? Why? What would you decide? The decision that ender has to make is if he wants to go to battle school and become a military commander or stay at his home with his family, mainly Vanentine. He didn't want to leave because when he left, valentine would be an adult and may not love him and for was that he didnt have to go to school to face the gang or peter anymore. he decides to go. i would  also go because of all the experience.
