2009 Naplan Writing Prompt

Earth 2

It was June 2046 and Ross Bridges was about to land on the planet he set out for in 2014 when he discovered that there was water and land on a planet 120 000 000 million light years away and today was the day that he was about to land on the planet to if there was a possibility of living organisms on the planet.

It had been 32 of living in the same place eating the same processed food and by now Ross was ready to embark on his journey down to Earth 2.

As he stood in the capsule ready to embark down to Earth 2 he was wondering if there would be any human like beings down on the planet that he would be able to communicate with.

30 minutes later he took his first step on Earth 2. He had landed in a open field with high mountains surrounding him. He felt like he was in the middle of the Australian outback with 3000m tall mountains surrounding him.

At first he thought he was the only living thing on the planet, but after driving around for 30 minutes on a motorbike like thing he realized he wasn't. 

Ross stood, staring at the futuristic buildings that stood about 3km in front of him. As he powered on towards the new found city the building just got higher and higher and by the time he had reached a 30m high wall surrounding the city he spotted a group of human like people waiting for him about 200m away at a gate. as he rode closer he could see most of the people moving back into the large city but 3 people stayed. It looked like one guy there to talk to him and two people standing behind with nasty looking weapons. As he got off the bike the man standing at the front put his hand out and said "Hi I'm Goliath and we have been awaiting your arrival of 35 years now.  We put a microscopic satellite about the size of an ant above you planet about 85 years ago and in that lime we have learnt your language over your international internet.
